I've occasionally been asked about the women that are in my are in my profile pics. Some people have joked about me being some playah with all these women contained therein. Me a playah? Most days I couldn't find the field.
The women that are my picks are very dear to me for alot of reasons. I feel like I have the type of relationship with them that if I knew them in RL, and they asked to help them move on a hot, humid day, hesitation wouldn't enter my mind.
Ok, one of them is my wife so that might be a no brainer in your opinion. Oddly though, she is first and foremost a friend. I like hearing about her day and get excited about the cool stuff she does in her job. I'm lucky, lucky, lucky:). Anybody that can put up with my unique brand of bs deserves more words of praise and appreciation that all the blogs in the world could possibly contain.
Now the other ladies are outstanding in there own right. They are Blissie, Joonie and Parker. This triumvirate of grace, humor, intelligence, beauty, and uniqueness have come to mean a lot to me. They have picked me up when I was down, they have made me be more reflective about my actions and more cognizant about what comes out of my fingers and are just a joy to include on my friends list.
I'm not only honored to have them in my profile pics, let me tell you about the story behind each profile pic. I'll go in alphabetical order with no connotation of favoritism. Blissie: of the triumvirate, I've known her the longest. She is funny and I can't tell how many IM's she has shot to me that have just made me laugh and smile. Plus she is my own personal beautiful attack dog! Sample interchange: "is she bothering you? I'll get rid of her...." Thats my Bliss, baked goods and bodyguard service rolled into one. I'm honored that she considers me a friend and never fails to check in with me. I love that Bliss.
Joonie is this combination of beauty and brain. She is a deep thinker who I'm not sure I can keep up with sometimes. She has an incredible sweet heart and is one of the kindest individuals I have met in SL. I can't put into words how much her support meant to me recently when an RL friend passed. She was there and it was as real as someone sitting in the room talking to me. What a treasure you are Joonie.
Parker reminds me of someone who would have been in Gone from The Wind. She is so genteel and mannerly that just being around her can change your outlook and your perspective on the day. Did I tell you that she doesn't mind when I tease her? She just laughs and tells me I'm nuts. She didn't even get upset when I put in a pic of her holding one of Liss's twins and made some remark about health insurance. What a sport you are Parker and what a sweet soul:)
So these four ladies are and will be in my pics as long as I come inworld. It wouldn't be the same place without any of them. I need them there and hopefully they need me in some way. I hope you have a great day and a fantastic weekend and I hope you tell those you hold near and dear to you that they are just that....

Beyond Expectations
Last nights opening of the bistro just blew me away. It was hectic and crazy but thats just cause I hadn't done it before. So many people..... It made us very happy.
I would be remiss if I didn't thank some people so here I go:)..Special thanks to Misprint and her art. She was the one that really drew them in. Her art is amazing and I'm glad I've gotten to know her a bit. Did you see the color of the ceiling last night? It was epic, it took me back to a place of holding my 12 year old when he was 2 in Northern Arizona and watching the winter sunset over the Peaks. Thanks to Parker for her assistance in basically doing everything. She greeted, meeted, and took photos of the whole event. She is always a constant source of assistance and a great person to bounce ideas off of. A shout out to Joonie also. She to was an able helper in helping people feel relaxed and guiding people to and fro. She did some major tagging last night to get our group off and going. Also thanks to Blissie for just being Blissie and an IM away at all times. Also thanks to Jenda for her constant help and assistance in helping pull it all together.
A special nod to CQ Bravin. His music was superb and enjoyed by those in attendance. The guy is truly amazing!
And of course there is Kimala. She really did the huge majority of everything that the Bistro is. Finding the artist, renovations in the space, the entire concept of the three floors......all her. She is amazing. I don't know what else there is to say about her. I'm very happy it was such a success, she deserves many, many more.
Thanks again to everyone who did show up! Your attendance really helped make the event. I appreciate your time in coming to be with us. Our place is your place. Please remember that:)
Misprint's art will be up another two weeks or so. Please stop in and check it out. I know I will, I want to hold that 2 year old again in my mind and watch the sun go down over the Peaks one more time.......

My Day of Hotness
Yesterday started like any other. I was hanging around with Blissie, Kimala and Aeryn. Everyone went to a spa and in bold letters it announced that males were allowed past a certain point. Since there is no shortage of pervs in SL (TM), which Joonie reminds me ever so often, I was faced with a quandry.
Solutions abound in both worlds. I brought back She D from the dark recesses of my inventory. She had been tucked away since her last appearance at The Hive. So I swapped out, so to speak, with her. My god, she looked frightful. Poor thing. She had to shop for skin, shape and other items.
Good god, she is hot. It was fun being with and being her. I didn't engage in any subterfuge....wait, I did do a sammich at Savoy but got creeped out because I thought I was being dishonest. Luckily, Elvis let me off the hook by reading the my profile and being cool about it.
It was a nice break that people managed to handle quite well. Parker innundated me with inventory. Blissie told me I had nice lips and danced with me. Kimala let me borrow a dress and didn't get mad when I told her I was never giving it back. All in all, the females in SL (TM) are incredibly giving of their time and of themselves. You know who you are:).
Last night and yesterday in general was very fun. The most fun in a month I'll say. Thanks!

One in a million
People think they have SL (TM) dialed in. It's all about the sex, the infidelity and other thnigs that many of us tend to fixate on. Sure that can be alluring from the outset.
I have been on SL (TM) for about 14 months now. I know that each person's experience is an individual as each person is. As I go through this journey, what keeps me at it, is the relationships I have with a few people. It has reflected my RL in that I have a few close friends who I hold dear to me.
Blissie Boucher is one of the nicest people I have ever met in any world. When I have been way down, she was there for me, when I have been way goofy and unfocused (this happens frequently), she was there for me. She is just Bliss and she is just there.
A lot of people, at least in their profiles, say that RL is RL and SL(TM) is SL(TM) and they should never intersect. OK, thats a choice I respect. However, Blissie is a part of our families life. My sweet little Rach loves typing to Blissie. Her reading skills aren't quite there yet but she knows when Blissie is giving her a holla! My 10 year old thought it was great Blissie was into him making a chocolate cake. You should have seen the smile on his face. Even Rachel's twin brother asked me last night if I was dancing with Bliss at the Savoy. I said,"Yes I am." He said,"Good." To cap it off, my ever so close to teenage 12 year old weighs in with,"she is hot."
If you have as good a friend in any world as Blissie is my friend in the metauniverse, make sure you tell them that they mean a lot to you. They might even mean something to your whole family, who knows? Friends are the rarest of commodities and need to be safeguarded like anything else precious.
Love ya Bliss!

A Different World
the other evening when I was out with Kimala at the Bee Hive I spontaneously embarked on a new SL career. Thanks to the generosity of Busy and Iris and Fun, I became a Busy Bee Dancer. I had no intention of doing this, it just happened!
Man it was fun. It shifted my focus on the evening from dancing and listening to music. I still did those things but also had a new responsibility of providing banter regarding my antics and talking with Iris who danced nearby. Busy gave me my directions to be as naughty as I wanted. That part wasn't to much of a stretch:).
I guess this is what makes SL, and life itself, so much fun. Something coming out of nowhere to change your day. Or in my case, evening. For some reason SL presents itself with less constraints than RL. Here I have 0 kids, few if any true responsibilities. But conversely, when I log on here I don't have two four year olds rush me when I pick them up at preschool with big smiles yelling, "Daddy!" BTW, the hugs I get there are beyond poseball capabilities. Its nice to be treated like a rockstar on a daily basis during the work week!
Thanks to everyone who made last Friday on SL so much fun! Previously my other source of generating funds was playing trivia. This was a lot of fun and I was saddened upon the closing of Triviv Monkeys. That place was fun and I met some of the nicest people there: Cherry, Sasha, Fanceey and many others. It pushed me to actually type quicker (LOL) and I enjoyed watching my name slowly ascend up the leader board! Never really found a place to replace it with the exception of AMS. There you have alot of other things to do, so it seems more scattered to me. Well, I feel way more scattered there anyway. So I think its just me.
As long as you keep cruising around and don't take yourself or others too seriously, I think SL is a good place. Here nobody fights for their life, falls into financial arreas, gets sent to war or contemplates taking their own life. This place isn't perfect but you can mute darksiders and relog from unpleasntness. And yes, I know I'm freeforming this blog entry. Its a morning write!
One last thing before I go. Yesterday night before I logged, I had the most tranquil experience in SL yet. I was laying on the hammock under the tree house that I got for a Valentines Day present from Kimala. The sun was setting, or rising, I do not know. Blissie and Kimala were laying on the hammock with me, it was so peaceful! My favorite blonde and brunette slowing swaying while we watched the sun do something. It was very nice and encapsulated everything good with SL. thanks ladies, I owe you one or twenty!
