What will their world be like? We are only borrowing it you know. The young ones are close behind. People should not cringe at this thought. They are products of nebulous times but they are more gounded than you think. One common thread I've noticed: they loathe self-absorption. Maybe they will be in the right place at the right time. I kinda think they will;).

I saw a social anthropologist speak in Dec when I was away at a conference who echos what you share D. Jennifer James, author of Thinking in the Future Tense, had all sorts of amazing things to share with regards to change and how cultures and societies evolve. We are on the cusp of so many big things. We have to rely on how our kids are wired - because they are wired differently from us. It is much like when we shifted from agrarian to industrial society. Those who cling to fear and the old ways, may not necessarily get totally shut out, but won't be as successful. Change has become so cliche with the focus in the media on the Primaries, but we are undergoing rapid change right now. Dr. James says "we have to be willing to think on the edge of culture."
I am hopeful your colleagues at work share your vision too D :)
